Synopsis :
Anglers were greeted tournament day to fog and windy conditions. Anglers Capt. Filip Spencer and Vincent Rinando decided to paddle out Titlum-Tatlum bayou into Christmas bay and look for redfish on the midbay reefs. The specktacular tournament is a 2 redfish per team weigh in tournament with an optional big trout event. Our goal was to look for trout early then concentrate on redfish the rest of the day. Foggy conditions kept us close to shore longer than we had hoped and by the time we got to the midbay reefs the redfish bite was short lived. During that time we were able to land one 26" redfish weighing 5lb9oz and several others that were just under the minimal requirement. Filip and Vincent spent the remainder of the day searching for redfish under windy conditions. In total the anglers traveled well over 10 miles in search of their second redfish. Robert Harvey ventured out into West bay in search of large trout early in the morning, with the hopes of finding redfish later in the day. It was a tough day for all angers, with only 3 teams weighing in redfish and the same number of trout entries.
